40 and going strong
It’s a celebration for the Santa Monica’s Valentino and also for our Gruppo that through the years has expanded in Primi un Ristorante, Posto Sherman Oaks, Caffé Giorgio Las Vegas, Impresario Downtown LA, and now Norcino in Santa Monica.
I was all of 26 when I embarked in a true life journey, 4 decades in Food and Wine at the top, and my growth, has been helped by the evolution of Italian Cucina in America, in California, in the world.
Wines have become an important social phenomenon too, and our Wine Spectator Grand award of 30 years is the best example of how seriously committed we have always been.
We plan to have a series of Celebrations to commemorate such an achievement (and in Los Angeles that’s huge): Visiting chefs, cookbooks recipes from Italian mothers, an evening with Dario Cecchini, the famous Italian butcher, and one with Darrel Corti the most knowledgeable expert in world’s food and wines.
We will have promotions, wine events, white truffles feasts, and many other things cooking for a memorable and special year.
